Gene-therapy delivery pioneer to lead technology development for the company's focused-ultrasound neuro-therapeutics platform.
Boston, Mass. — June 15, 2026 — Lotus Neuro, a clinical-stage neuro-therapeutics company combining precision focused ultrasound (FUS) with advanced medicines to treat brain disease, today announced the appointment of Junghae Suh PhD as Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Suh will lead the continued development of the company's programmable delivery platform, advancing the technology that enables measurable, controllable therapeutic effects across the blood-brain barrier.
Dr. Suh is a bioengineer and recognized leader in gene-therapy innovation, with deep expertise in designing advanced delivery systems for complex disease. She previously served as Vice President and Head of Biogen's Gene Therapy Accelerator Unit, where she led efforts to develop transformative therapies for neurological disorders. Prior to Biogen, she was a tenured professor at Rice University, where her pioneering work in synthetic virology focused on engineering viruses as programmable platforms for targeted gene delivery. She is a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).
As Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Suh will oversee platform engineering, delivery science, and the technical roadmap that underpins Lotus Neuro's neuro-oncology programs — bringing a rare combination of scientific rigor and translational leadership to the company's mission.
